Annalisa Salvatore

Annalisa Salvatore received her Master’s Degree in Chemistry in 2013 at University of Florence (Italy) with a thesis on the synthesis and characterization of Fe3O4@Au core-shell magnetic nanoparticles funcionalized with oligonucleotides. In august 2013 she started a CSGI fellowship during which she worked on synthesis’s strategies of inorganic nanoparticles for drug delivery systems. In January 2014 she started at University of Florence her PhD in Chemical Sciences focused on functional nanostructured materials as matrices for controlled drug release. In particolar she exploit and control the supra-assembly of primary magnetic nanoparticles, as nanoplatform to be conjugated with biomolecules that can be released on demand for site specific delivery. During the second year of phD she studied the interaction of the supra-assembled magnetic NPs with lipid carriers. Currently she’s in the third year of phD
