I received my Master Degree in Applied Science for Cultural Heritage in 2012 from the University “Sapienza” of Rome (110/110 cum laude) with a thesis on micro-chemical and micro-structural investigations on silvered and gilded artifacts from the Royal Tombs of Sipan (Peru).

In January 2013 I moved to Florence to start a PhD in Science for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage and I am going to defend the PhD thesis on February 2016. The PhD project focused on the design and characterization of innovative polymeric systems for cleaning of Cultural Heritage artifacts, in particular of polyvinyl alcohol-based film-forming cleaning systems for the removal of corrosion products from Cu-based artifacts, in particular of bronzes.
